Shake and Bake Publishing was founded with the main purpose of providing easier access to study materials for the Landscape Architects Registration Exam. While studying to take his own LARE exams, founder Kevin Worthington became frustrated with the lack of quality study materials available for the exams. From this frustration grew a desire to provide better guides and more materials for future examinees.

After passing each of the exams, he set out to put all of the knowledge that he had accumulated while studying into study guides that would help others pass the test the first time around.  As the years have gone on and the exam has changed, so to have the practice exams provided.  However, one thing remains the same and that is the main belief of the company. The main belief of the company is that passing the LARE the first time should not be a privilege for those with a ton of time and resources, but a reality for anyone who has the desire to fulfill their potential as a Landscape Architect.
